Q: Does it work on Mac?
A: Yes. Mantis works on all computer platforms and with all web browsers.

Q: What does WYSIWYG stand for?
A: WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. This means that while you are editing the site it will look just as it will when published.

Q: Can I host Mantis myself?
A: Yes, however it is more costly. Mantis is a centralized engine and is always being improved upon and upgraded to bring you the latest features. It's possible to host elsewhere but installation and maintenance can make it more expensive; therefore we recommend hosting with us.

Q: What are the cost benefits of a Mantis CMS compared to a static site?

Q: Can I enter the content myself?

Q: Are there any long-term commitments?
A: No, there are no long-term commitments and you can discontinue your service at any time.

Q: Is my website secure using Mantis?

Q: How many pages can I make with my Mantis site?
A: Once your site is up and running you can create an unlimited number of pages.

Q: What is the difference between Mantis CMS and Open Source CMS products?
A: Open source is a set of principles and practices on how to write software. The upside is the source code is openly available. The downside however is revealed in two areas: First, the technical support for open source software generally relies on 3rd party support providers who are not directly responsible for the code and have little access to development teams if a need arises.

The second area of concern is unlike traditional software platforms, open source code is developed and reviewed in a less formal process which can lead to compliance issues with standards, security and technologies.

Q: What does CMS stand for?
A: CMS stands for Content Management System. This means that you are able to edit/manage the content of your website yourself.
